FELLOWSHIPS

The CAPAS Fellows are at the core of the Center's research community. Each year, CAPAS awards approximately 15 fellowships to international scholars from a wide range of academic disciplines. These fellowships support individual research projects that explore both theoretical and practical dimensions of world-endings and new beginnings in their aftermath. Additionally, CAPAS offers an open and inspiring environment for interdisciplinary dialogue and collaborative research. Beyond actively shaping the Centre's research programme, Fellows have the opportunity to engage in innovative outreach activities and networks that extend the Centre's transdisciplinary approach.

Funding is determined in accordance with regulations set by the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and can be awarded either as a stipend or in the form of a teaching buyout. Fellows are provided with office space, access to university resources, and logistical support. Limited accommodation is available in the university’s guest houses.
